Happy weekend.

Pulled myself out of my slump. ;)
Not completely out- but I'm trying my hardest.
Snapped this pick while I finally stopped cleaning and organizing and sat down to watch an episode of Pretty Little Liars with my cup of coffee in my favorite little polka dot mug, applied an altered-tattly temporary tattoo. Realized my whole outfit was Free People new and old. ;) My apartment is finally cooling down now that sun isn't up too high. Half full. I'm trying. ;)
Anyway, hope everyone has a lovely weekend. I'm heading to LAX shortly to pick up my family! <3

Hello, Thursday.

Wow, so it's hot in my apartment which leads me to believe it must be pretty darn hot outside! I'm a busy person today. Lots to get done! My mom, dad and sisters are coming into LA tomorrow from Michigan and I'm super excited! Just trying to get things a bit more organized for their arrival! I haven't seen them in 2 months! (I've probably said that in EVERY blog post) Happy. :) My sister particularly could use an escape. I hope she'll stay. We're a tight family and even my husband loves being around all of 'em so if the l'il sis moves in a for a while it will be fun! She can live here in exchange for cooking. ;)

Hello, hello, hello...

So a couple things have happened.
I called the police because I thought my neighbor was getting the crap beat out of him. Ha. Seriously, there was yelling, cussing, thumps definitely loud enough to be a body landing on the floor. Fist contact, that sort of thing. Easily something that would encourage a police phone call. Um, so the police came, knocked on his door... Acting rehearsal. Shoot me. I felt kind of embarrassed but frankly if you're going to be acting out a mob scene please let your new neighbor who lives directly below you know. Needless to say, everything is fine and I met my neighbor, too. He's nice, Spanish gentleman. So it's cool. I told him its cool if they still do it now that I know he's not being killed. ;)

We got our couch yesterday! It looks great. Just trying to arrange our little house. I have nowhere to put anything. So this is interesting. Slowly but surely things are coming together I'm trying to be patient. My parents and little sister are coming to LA on Friday! Super excited. I haven't seen them in 2 months! Crazy how fast time flies. I'm surprised I'm handling it so well. I'm the kind of person who had never spent more than 2 weeks without seeing my fam. Now I'm too preoccupied to get upset over it. I think it helps that I like where we live.

Happy Wednesday, friends. That's it for now. I'm off to Mackevision for the rest of the work day.

Just ordered a few things to tinker with some more packaging ideas for Maddox and Klaus! So excited! I'm a sucker for paper goods. It's nuts.

It appears she actually doesn't have a shop open? Not sure, but I'll try to find her site or something. This necklace is adorable.

Happy Tuesday

Today is my lovely husband's 29th birthday! So far it's been pretty quiet and enjoyable. It's a nice very hot day here in Los Angeles. We've been here for 2 months and it hasn't rained once. Every single day has been bright and sunny and a perfect 75-85 degrees! Perfection. It's gotten to a point where we don't even check our weather app; we know what the weather will be... Same as always. Can't complain, my poor Michigan family has been slammed with a heat wave and well, their house has no air conditioning! Makes me quite thankful for our 65 degree nights. Because our apartment doesn't have air, either! Back to the hubster's birthday. Since its just the two of us we decided baking cupcakes wasn't necessary, so we're heading to Milk after work to pick up a red velvet cupcake and a piece of blue velvet cake; which we hear is amazing. Since we're grown ups we're ratting dessert before dinner. ;) I got him a diesel watch, which he picked out so it's a given that he liked it. Still blasted waiting on his other gifts to arrive. Bought online and naturally it seems it's taking more than a week to arrive! Next Friday my mom, dad and littlest sister, Ashlind, are coming to LA to see us! So excited! I haven't seen my family in two months! Record for me, the longest I had gone without seeing them was like 2 weeks! Never thought I'd be able to do it, but being so busy has made the time go by quickly and liking where I live has made the homesickness fleating. I still miss my family but note hometown. It's not a lovely place. But I do miss the people in it. Very excited for everyone to make their rounds out here. I have a feeling none of them will want to leave. So much goes on here there is literally never a dull moment. Which is a nice break coming from a sad boring town like Port Huron. A city where the gyms go out of business and Old Navy can't even survive. Get my point? I love that there is always something to do here. Always! Anyway, I'd update pictures but I'm on my iPad and it's not working. Hope everyone has a lovely week. XO
