Coming soon!

I've been busy with new creations!
I have a lot of beads and I have been wanting to put them to good use but couldn't really come up with anything. Beading like this is new. Generally my work is a little more random, but like I said, I really needed to do something with ALL my beads otherwise these things would be around forever. Experimenting and messing up for a few days was good, I eventually came up with these! This is one of like 20 that's I've done in the last week. They are simple, slip over your head, seed bead necklaces. This one is one of my favorites. I absolutely adore these matte, pale purple beads. The larger on with the scallops is hand painted with love by yours truly. Some leather is looped through it for a little something extra. :) Simple and sweet.

I'm not opposed to tattoos. I think some people are very creative with them and they have a special meaning to the person. Someday I might get one- I have a little idea in mind but it's a future thing. I think tattoos should have meaning otherwise I would imagine you would get sick of seeing them. I have heard the "yeah they'll look awesome when you're 60 and the arm band is now a bracelet..." Um, basically, I don't think people care much when they're 60... haha I wouldn't. Whatever. Lots of things are going to sag south when you're getting up there in age and a tattoo might just be your own little reminder of a well spent youth. I think they're a little piece of history and on an old body it might not matter and it might just bring a small smile to their face because it meant something and hopefully by that age still holds that meaning or memory. So if I had a tattoo, I can assure you, when I'm 60 and it doesn't look the way it did when I was 25- it isn't going to matter. They'll still tell a story. And that's the whole point. I can, however, imagine there are plenty of tattoo regrets. ;)

Anyway, life here in LA is the typical nightmare. As long as I don't leave my apartment I am not so angry. I have also come to the conclusion that there is a good reason California has strict gun laws. Let's just say: those laws save lives because I can guarantee people would be shooting people from road rage alone. The people here are nasty and just down right mean and horrible. I have had very few encounters with genuinely friendly people and those people worked at Anthropologie! No joke. This place is horrible and my husband and I have spent many nights beside ourselves with it. We will escape as soon as our lease is up and I have no plans on ever coming back. A mud slide needs to just wipe this place out and be rid of it and it's inhabitants. Miserable human beings everywhere. It's disgusting.

Hair inspiration and then some rambling.

Love this.
Whenever I see styles like this I'm always thankful I haven't given in to my whim and boredom and hacked my hair short.

Happy Monday, everyone.
Mine is so far so good! Just got back from the airport; picked up one of Danny's co-workers. Then headed home and managed to find a GREAT parking space that I could just pull into without getting all complicated with the parallel junk. Happiness. Today is a street cleaning day so all the cars have to park on one side until noon, I pulled in at 12:17 and the whole side of the street was still practically empty- WIN. Los Angeles is a total burden when it comes to parking so this was literally a Godsend. On Sunset blvd that is a neon sign that just says "Liquor + Parking"... I joke and say those are the two things you need so survive LA. ;) I'll snap a pic it would make a fun instagram photo. ;)
Anyway, I'm starting a new little project that I've wanted to do for a while now. I'll post progress later. It's a garland- for weddings. I'm just waiting on my German glass glitter to get here in the mail! Fingers crossed that this goes how I want! I think it will be a charming little addition to someone's special day! Too bad weddings weren't so nuts when I got married- tsk, not fair. I want a do-over! ;)

Fall Style Inspiration via Pinterest

Inspiration

This inspired me. I'm contemplating my own little version of this in my own favorite color schemes for a painting in our bedroom. Hmmmm...

Oh look, more inspiration! I don't know what it is with my current love of all things super bright colored. If you look at my house I have almost zero color. I have wood, black, gray, charcoal, white, ivory, taupe... yeah... It's kind of my 50 shades of gray house. ;) In a non-kinky way of course. But I have a new little love of color. I don't know how to incorporate it into my more modern home but maybe tiny bits here and there... We'll see what I can come up with.

Pillowcase love. I have no idea where this is from.
